25-Year Bespoke Cabinetry Warranty

Built with care. Designed to last. Backed by our commitment to quality.

At AJ Furniture, we take pride in designing and creating bespoke furniture that combines thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and lasting functionality.

We stand behind the quality of the cabinetry we manufacture and are pleased to offer our customers a 25-year warranty on qualifying products, subject to the terms and conditions set out below.

1. Warranty Provider

This warranty is provided by AJ Furniture, of 18 Green Close, Honeybourne, WR11 7PF (“AJ Furniture”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

2. Warranty Period

This warranty applies for a period of 25 years from the date of practical completion of the original installation, as recorded in the customer's order documentation.

The warranty applies to qualifying products supplied by AJ Furniture for the original customer and installation address, subject to the terms of this agreement.

3. What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in the following components manufactured by AJ Furniture:

  • Cabinet carcasses and cabinet construction.

  • Cabinet doors.

  • Drawer fronts.

Cover applies where a defect arises under normal domestic use during the warranty period and is attributable to a fault in the materials or workmanship of the covered components.

Where a claim is accepted, AJ Furniture will assess the nature and extent of the defect and agree an appropriate remedy with the customer, in accordance with this warranty and applicable law.

4. What Is Not Covered

This warranty applies exclusively to the components identified in Section 3 that are manufactured by AJ Furniture.

It does not cover hardware, fittings, accessories, appliances, lighting or other components that are not manufactured by AJ Furniture. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Hinges, drawer runners, drawer mechanisms and soft-close systems.

  • Handles, knobs and other decorative hardware.

  • LED lighting, drivers, transformers, switches and electrical components.

  • Worktops, sinks, taps, appliances and other third-party products.

  • Any other components supplied by third-party manufacturers or suppliers.

Such products may be covered by separate manufacturer or supplier warranties. Where appropriate, we will provide the relevant product or supplier information to help customers direct their queries to the appropriate party.

This exclusion does not remove any responsibility AJ Furniture may have under applicable law for its own contractual obligations, installation services or other acts or omissions.

The warranty also excludes defects or damage to covered components caused by:

  • Accidental damage, misuse, neglect or failure to use the cabinetry in a reasonable manner.

  • Failure to follow reasonable care, cleaning or maintenance instructions.

  • Unauthorised alterations, repairs or modifications carried out by third parties.

  • Water ingress, flooding, leaks, excessive moisture, extreme heat or other environmental conditions outside the intended use of the cabinetry.

  • Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic changes arising from ordinary use and ageing.

These exclusions apply only to the extent that the relevant circumstances caused the defect or damage and do not exclude any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

5. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe a covered component has developed a defect, please contact AJ Furniture using the details below:

Email: bespoke@aj-furniture.co.uk

Telephone: 07531 046597

Please provide your name, original order or installation details, a description of the issue and photographs where reasonably available.

We may request further information or arrange an inspection to establish the cause of the issue and determine whether the claim falls within the scope of this warranty.

We will assess each claim fairly and explain our findings and proposed next steps.

6. Warranty Remedies

Where a claim is accepted, AJ Furniture will assess the circumstances and agree an appropriate remedy with the customer, taking into account the nature of the defect, the affected component, the availability of suitable materials and the requirements of applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement of the affected component or another mutually agreed resolution.

Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising any statutory rights or remedies to which they are entitled.

7. Original Customer and Transferability

This warranty is personal to the original customer named in the order documentation and relates to the original installation address.

It is not transferable to subsequent homeowners, purchasers or other third parties.

This provision does not affect any statutory rights that may independently apply to another person under applicable law.

8. Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to the rights and remedies available to consumers under applicable law.

Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or replaces any statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including applicable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Customers' statutory rights remain unaffected if a product or component is not covered by this additional warranty.

9. General Conditions

This warranty should be read alongside the customer's quotation, order confirmation and applicable terms and conditions.

If any provision of this warranty is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

For questions about this warranty or to make a claim, please contact AJ Furniture using the details provided above.
